Inspiration to make this book came from here.
-Old Hardcover Books (I got them at Goodwill)
-Binder Rings
-A Drill
-Hole Punch (3 or 2 hole punch works best)
-Decorations for the book
-Ribbon, stickers, doilies, paper,
-Hotglue
The toughest part (for me) was drilling the holes into the books, and that's just because I'm not very good with power tools and was drinking wine with a friend while I made this! HA! It's important to drill the holes far enough apart so that most cards can be punched to fit between them.
I decorated the book next using some cute ribbon, scrapbooking letter stickers, and doilies that we had from the wedding. I used hot glue to attach everything.
Next you put the binder rings through the drilled holes.
Then you have to hole punch all of the cards, this can be time consuming and ware down the sharpness of your punch because some of those cards get really thick! You then put the cards through the rings and wah la! There's your mini card book!
I chose to put cards from parents and grandparents in the front, and kind of chose my order of cards that way. I ended up having to make two books, and that didn't even fit all of the wedding and shower cards that I had!
I plan to make these for Christmas cards and birthday cards for Rory!
